Current Research In Structural Biology
(ISSN 2665-928X)
Aims & Scope
Current Research in Structural Biology (CRSB) is a new primary research, gold open access (OA) journal from Elsevier. CRSB publishes exclusively original research articles and short communications that cover all aspects of the molecular structure and dynamics of biological macromolecules.
CRSB is a peer-reviewed OA journal and upon acceptance all articles are permanently and freely available. It is a companion to the highly regarded review journal Current Opinion in Structural Biology (2020 CiteScore, 12.7) and is part of the Current Opinion and Research (CO+RE) suite of journals. All CO+RE journals leverage the Current Opinion legacy-of editorial excellence, high-impact, and global reach-to ensure they are a widely read resource that is integral to scientists' workflow.
CRSB topics covered include:
Resolution Revolution in Cryo-EM
From Genomes to Protein Sequences and Topology
Multi-Protein Assemblies in Cell Signalling and Regulation
Folding, Binding and Implications for Drug Discovery
Membrane Protein Structures and Functions
Intrinsically Disordered Proteins
Single Molecule Studies and Kinetics
Nucleic Acids and their Protein Complexes
Macromolecular Machines
Theory and Simulation
New Constructs and Expression Of Proteins
Engineering and Design
Carbohydrate-Protein Interactions and Glycosylation
Biophysical and Molecular Biological Methods
Enzyme Catalysis.
Benefits to authors
CRSB builds on Elsevier's reputation for excellence in scientific publishing and long-standing commitment to communicating reproducible biomedical research targeted at improving human health.
Expertise - The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board bring depth and breadth of expertise and experience to the journal.
Speed - Submission and peer review is fast, and publication of final manuscripts is instantaneous. Accepted manuscripts will appear online as articles "in press" within 5-7 working days and will be published as soon as the final proofs have been approved by authors.
